According to the tweet, the devices of Xiaomi that are going out of their warranty period in May or June have been given an extended warranty of two months. With this, customers will be able to get their device serviced by August. The tweet does not say anything just for smartphones but for all Xiaomi devices. This includes the company’s earphones, speakers, accessories and many other products. However, the company has not confirmed this statement on its own behalf.
Last week, both Poco and Vivo had announced to increase the warranty for their devices. Like its parent company Xiaomi, Poco also gave a two-month enhanced warranty on the smartphone, whose warranty was scheduled to expire in May and June. At the same time, Vivo extended it for only 30 days. This offer was only for customers who were staying in the lockdown area and could not come out of their homes. In addition, Vivo had also announced that in view of the current conditions of the state, the company will also provide free pick-and-drop facility from the customer’s home.
Smartphone maker companies are helping their customers in this phase of lockdown so that they can get the facility right from home and do not have to come out of their homes to get the phone or their other devices serviced or repaired. It is to be noted here that no change has been made in the terms and conditions of the warranty.
