Xiaomi has announced through its Weibo account that the earthquake reporting system included in the MIUI has so far provided 35 users with successful information on earthquakes. The company has also shared a picture in the post, in which information about this achievement in Chinese language has been given. The post says that this early warning system currently has access to 8,640,477 devices, including smartphones as well as TVs. The company chose National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day to share this achievement.
Gizmochina’s report says that this early Earthquake (earthquake) system of Xiaomi has been active for more than 500 days and as reported by the company it has detected 35 earthquakes so far and has sent successful warnings to users.
The post also mentioned that the company will work with the Disaster Mitigation Research Institute to further improve the system in the coming years. In addition, this system of natural disaster warning will be further enhanced in collaboration with National Early Warning Release Center, National Emergency Broadcasting and China Earthquake Networks. Currently, it does not have access to the whole of China. It may happen that in the coming time this system spread all over China and then gradually the company along with institutions of other countries start this system in those countries as well. However, the company has not shared any information about it at the moment.
