Galaxy Tab A7 Lite

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite might have reached the end of its software update journey. The device has just received its third, and likely final, OS update. Earlier this year, the tablet was updated to One UI 6.0, and now it has been upgraded to an Android 14-based One UI 6.1 in South Korea.

A Journey from Android 11 to One UI 6.1

The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite originally launched with Android 11 in mid-2021. With the latest firmware version T225NKOU8EXH2, it now includes the July 2024 security patch and many of the features intrinsic to Android 14 and One UI 6.1.

A Delayed But Welcome Update

While most eligible devices have already received One UI 6.1, with some even awaiting version 6.1.1, the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has been a bit slower in getting this update. Given that it’s a budget-friendly, lower-priority device, it’s surprising that it received its third major software update at all.

Rollout Status: Awaiting Arrival in Other Regions

Since this update is currently rolling out in South Korea, it may take some time before it becomes available in other regions. However, the wait should not be too long.
