Display and Design:
The Redmi 5 rocks a 5.7-inch bezel-less display and an 18:9 aspect ratio screen. It has a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. A 2.5D curved glass is layered on the top for enhanced experience. This phone sports a metal unibody design that ensures durability. The back of the phone houses rear camera with LED flash. A fingerprint scanner is located just below it. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting any audio accessories. On the front there are sensors like accelerometer, magnetometer, proximity sensor and ambient light. The Redmi 5 ships in four color variants i.e. Black, Gold, Light Blue and Rose Gold.

On the imaging front, the Redmi 5 features a 12MP rear shooter with PDAF system. It is paired with LED flash for clicking good pictures even in low light conditions. Upfront, there is a 5MP front camera for clicking selfies. The camera has various features like touch focus, HDR, panorama. The rear camera offers Full HD video recording (1080p).

Underneath the hood, the Redmi 5 houses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 octa-core chipset. It packs 3GB RAM and Adreno 506 graphics processor onboard.
