PCs will soon be able to play the best Spiderman game in the world
The year 2018 was very strong in terms of video player appearances, with the release of the western game Red Dead Redemption 2, God of War, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and of course Marvel’s Spider-Man.
Insomniac Games put the bar at an astonishing level with this game, Marvel’s Spider-Man became unique in the superhero genre, allowing us to hide in the skin of the more experienced law enforcement officer, Peter Parker, and so we could swing through New York City. The combat system is true, it quoted the Batman: Arkham series a bit, but walking up in the metropolis took everything. And the story wasn’t the last: between the protagonist and his mentor, the writers woven the threads perfectly, all the while importing known, comic evils - in a non-forced way - like Kingpin, Electro, Scorpion, and Rhino. Marvel’s Spider-Man has been expanded with three DLCs and became one of PlayStation 4’s best-selling games before a remaster version of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was released in 2020.
Sony has, somewhat surprisingly, but not entirely unexpectedly, decided to make Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered available to PC gamers as early as August 12 this year. You don’t know anything about the price yet, but to be sure, if someone grabs a mouse and keyboard for it, they won’t be able to stop investing in a PlayStation 5 either. It’s just icing on the cake that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is coming to PC this fall as well, with a new, younger Spider-Man in the middle of the action. Miles is not a one-on-one copy of the original hero, he has different abilities - in addition to the mandatory net swing, of course. Sony is planting more and more PS-exclusive games on PCs, including titles like God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, or even Days Gone.
